In general, it is said that the effective learning of English consists in a satisfactory
domain of four skills which are: reading, listening, speaking and writing. Thus, the
learning of English allows increasing the perception of the person as an active citizen
in society. It is in this context that schools have an extremely important role in the
formation of people who have knowledge in the English Language. The present study
aims to reflect upon how the imagination can be used as a pedagogical resource from
the use of existing resources in the Roleplaying Game (RPG). To do this, we conducted
a case study on the topic, in a public school of Porto Nacional-TO, for 18 students from
the third grade of high school. Therefore, it was concluded that the games play an
extremely important role in the present days and that with the RPG is no different,
because by using it, it is possible to use the English Language as a way to increase
the prospects of cultural and citizen education, as well as to expand the communication
in a time of social and immediate interaction. |
