Resumo:
The present work is a continuation of the project of Scientific Initiation (PIBIC / UFT) developed in the period of 2005 and 2006, which presented as a theme "The process of implementation of the School Development Plan PDE in the Miracema Regional of Tocantins." The objective of this work is to know the process of construction of the PPP and its importance in the democratic management of the School of Basic Education of the State Education Network In this way we will try to answer some questions such as: What is the importance of the PPP as an instrument of the democratic management of the public school How did the process of building the PPP in a State Basic Education school? We used as methodology the bibliographical, documentary and empirical researches The study allowed us to understand that participation in the management process involves the understanding of what democracy is. Analyzing the data of the researched school, it is possible to observe that despite believing and preaching democracy, it leaves much to be desired in the sense that it does not have a mechanism that puts this into practice, that is, it does not seek means that stimulate the participation of the school community in the activities. The PPP, regardless of whether or not the school is in its main role, always seeks emancipation in the educational process and always aims at achieving autonomy, causing the agents involved to believe in an improvement for education.
