Considering that the Academia da Melhor Idade (AMI) of the city of Tocantinópolis, serves the public of people who practice physical activities during the week. In addition to monitoring these exercises, it is also necessary to assess whether these activities are actually contributing to improving health, quality of life and also helping to reduce glycemic indexes and preventing their increase. Aiming to verify if a training program of the Academia da Melhor Idade (AMI), of the city of Tocantinópolis-TO, promotes the reduction or prevents the increase of the postprandial glycemia of the practitioners. The research of quantitative had the participation of 16 volunteers, of both sexes, being practitioners of exercise in the AMI of Tocantinópolis - TO. Comparisons between the pre and post observation periods were performed using the T test for unpaired samples. It was noted that and blood glucose pre 137.6 after 125.5 p 0.28, only reduced numerically after three months of observation. Therefore, taken together the data demonstrate that even exercising for three months in a public space intended for the practice of physical activity and accompanied by a physical education professional, anthropometric, cardiovascular and blood glucose variables do not seem to undergo significant changes.
