Resumo:
The purpose of this paper is to present a study which was carried out at Deputy Darcy Marinho Girassol High School Center, located in the city of Tocantinópolis - TO, in order to analyze the integration and inclusion of students with hearing impairment in the school, and then to understand. if it works in the model of inclusion or integration in the educational system. Therefore, it was necessary to start this work by presenting, based on books, articles and magazines, the path through which the history of special education passed, based on the contributions of Aranha (2005) Corrêa (2010), Rodrigues (2008), Mantoan (2003), Brazil (1994) among others. Then for locus research, observations were made and a questionnaire was applied containing questions for teachers who teach classes and also for the interpreter teacher of Libras who accompanies the student in that institution. Thus, it is highlighted how important is the inclusion process for the hearing impaired student in school in the regular education system helping in their teaching process learning and their social development.
