The study seeks to analyze the importance of the temporary agriculture of MATOPIBA in
which the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia are part of the economic
development, where it has attracted national and international interests, thus becomes
Fundamental to know, the municipalities of the state of Maranhão that are located in
MATOPIBA and its agricultural characteristics and understand the economic dynamics of
Maranhão, thus being able to have an analysis of how these municipalities will impact the
economy. The increase in grain production is especially focused on soybean and maize crops,
and soybeans have the largest number of plantations in the region, due to their economic value,
these crops can further impact the state economy. It is understood that the temporary crops of
corn and soybean production have relevance of the MATOPIBA economy to the state. |
