In addition, important references to the field of Environmental Law inspired the production of analyzes on the correlation between topics expressed in the menus and the central themes of this field of Law. We sought to understand, in the same perspective, the place and value attributed to the discipline Environmental Law in the courses involved in this study. As for the methodological approach, a qualitative study is carried out, using strategies such as: (1) literature review and (2) document analysis. Among the materials considered, are included: articles, dissertations and theses, as well as the Course Pedagogical Project (PPC) of each course considered throughout the study. Up to the present moment, the importance of the discipline Environmental Law in the scope of training in Law is evidenced. However, according to the analyzes made from the reading of the PPCs, there is a need for systematization in the offer of that discipline, or related disciplines. In some cases, Environmental Law is included in the list of mandatory subjects, often offering in two semesters. The discussions and analyzes undertaken in the referred field of Law strengthen the search for awareness and the adoption of ethical and sustainable conduct in the sphere of legal practices. Esta pesquisa objetivou investigar como o ensino da disciplina Direito Ambiental tem sido abordado em universidades públicas do Norte do Brasil. Elegeram-se as universidades públicas situadas na região norte do país como contexto de pesquisa. Consideraram-se informações explícitas em projetos pedagógicos de curso (PPC’s). Além disso, referências importantes ao campo do Direito Ambiental inspiraram a produção de análises sobre a correlação entre tópicos expressos nas ementas e as temáticas centrais deste campo do Direito. Buscou-se compreender, na mesma perspectiva, o lugar e o valor atribuídos à disciplina Direito Ambiental nos cursos envolvidos neste estudo. Quanto à abordagem metodológica, realiza-se um estudo qualitativo, a partir do emprego de estratégias como: (1) revisão de literatura e (2) análise documental. Dentre os materiais considerados, estão incluídos: artigos, dissertações e teses, bem como o Projeto Pedagógico do Curso (PPC) de cada curso considerado ao longo do estudo. Até o presente momento, constata-se a importância da disciplina Direito Ambiental no âmbito da formação em Direito. No entanto, de acordo com as análises feitas a partir da leitura dos PPCs, observa-se a necessidade de haver sistematização na oferta da referida disciplina, ou de disciplinas correlatas. Em alguns casos, Direito Ambiental figura no rol das disciplinas obrigatórias, tendo muitas vezes oferta em dois semestres.
