For data collection, drawings and narratives were used. They were made before and after a project named ENGLISH MOTIVATION. The results show resignification of some beliefs, based on our actions. The project helped most participants to change some of their negative beliefs. We believe that if students continued with the project, many negative concepts they have about the English language would be re-signified. Our objective is also showing how was the process of some disruptions that occurred during our work, how we acted and the development of students who participated. Este trabalho de natureza qualitativa é uma pesquisa-ação com o objetivo de mapear e ressignificar as crenças de sete alunos, entre eles três participantes do gênero masculino e quatro do gênero feminino, sendo todos pertencentes de uma turma do programa de Educação de Jovens e Adultos de uma escola pública da cidade de Araguaína, situada no estado do Tocantins. Para a coleta de dados foram utilizados desenhos e narrativas, feitos antes e depois de um projeto nomeado ENGLISH MOTIVATION. Os resultados mostram ressignificação de algumas crenças, a partir de nossas ações. O projeto contribuiu para que a maioria dos participantes mudassem algumas de suas crenças negativas. Acreditamos que se os alunos continuassem com o projeto, muitos conceitos negativos que eles possuem a respeito da Língua inglesa seriam ressignificados.
