Resumo:
Public management assumes increasing importance in the face of the demands of modernity. The present study, in this area, addresses the specific management of public contracts that function as an interface of the State administration with its provision obligation in the face of population demands. The research brought up a guiding question: are the principles of administration respected in all situations of effective control and inspection of contracts? The general objective of the research was to evaluate the process and mechanism of control and inspection of contracts in the municipality of Muricilândia – Tocantins. Specific objectives: present a brief history of Public Policies; describe the principles governing public administration, contracts for public goods and services; present how the management and inspection of contracts takes place based on the principles of public administration, carried out in Muricilândia - TO. The study used the quantitative approach and the exploratory-descriptive design methodology, which is structured as a bibliographic, documentary and field investigation, where a questionnaire consisting of 11 questions applied via Google Forms was used, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The questions took into account the scope of the specific objectives of the research, people who worked and/or acted as contract inspector answered the questionnaires. Twenty servers joined the survey. Processes related to the year 2020 were analyzed, in a total of 17, and they meet the legality discussed here. In this sense, analyzing the reports, the transparency portal and the theoretical bases presented by the consulted authors, in comparison with the results obtained with the questionnaire carried out among the servers, it can be concluded that the Muricilândia city hall complies, in relation to the bids and to contract inspectors, which provides for the legislation and the authors consulted
