Seeking to understand how this process of struggle for her emancipation as a working woman. However, as we know, and as has already been discussed at other times, we know that historically women have always been targets of prejudice. His narratives about life stories, struggles and resistances make it possible to know how the social representations of this social group occur. The methodology used was: semi-structured interviews with Life Stories, elaboration of a social map by the women of Bairro Alto Bonito, who respectively participated in the interviews. The result pointed out that the women of Bairro Alto Bonito raise their children, suffer violence in various ways, did not finish their studies because they have to take care of the house, the husbands and especially of their children. But above all, they are women who struggle and resist daily to emancipate themselves. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo refletir sobre as representações sociais das mulheres do bairro Alto Bonito e as narrativas de Histórias de vida desenvolvidas nesse território. Buscando compreender como se deu esse processo de luta em prol de sua emancipação como mulher trabalhadora. Porém, como se sabe, e como já vem sendo discutido em outros momentos, sabemos que historicamente as mulheres sempre foram alvos de preconceito. Suas narrativas sobre histórias de vida, de luta e resistências possibilita conhecer como ocorre as representações sociais sobre esse grupo social. A metodologia utilizada foi: entrevistas semiestruturadas com Histórias de vida, elaboração de mapa social realizado pelas mulheres do Bairro Alto Bonito, que respectivamente participaram das entrevistas. O resultado apontou que as mulheres do Bairro Alto Bonito criam seus filhos/as, sofrem violência de várias formas, não concluíram seus estudos por ter que cuidar da casa, dos maridos e, especialmente dos seus filhos.
