This work discusses the documents that guide the teaching of Art in Brazil and in
the state of Tocantins. The objective is to analyze the objects of knowledge of the
National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and pedagogical suggestions from
the Tocantins Curricular Document (DCT), related to the discipline of Art, from
the 6th to the 9th year of Elementary School, seeking to establish proximity and
distances between these documents. To this end, aspects related to the history
of Arts teaching in Brazil, the importance of the curriculum for education and the
guiding documents for the teaching of Arts in schools are considered. The
curriculum of the discipline of Art, in the Elementary School Years Final, are
observed, specifically the thematic unit of Visual Arts, from the perspective of the
DCT and the BNCC. The methodology used is qualitative, of a bibliographic and
documentary nature, with the study of the documents listed above. From the
analysis of the skills and objects of knowledge present in the BNCC and the
objects of knowledge and pedagogical suggestions of the DCT, it is possible to
understand how these two documents are related and complement each other.
The National Curricular Common Base has a broader approach that makes room
for the regional specificities of Brazilian states. In this sense, the Tocantins
Curricular Document, based on the skills and objects of knowledge of the BNCC,
describes the contents that must be worked on in the objects of knowledge and
the pedagogical suggestions for its professors, aiming at a better understanding
of the pedagogical proposal presented at the BNCC. The aim of this work is to
contribute to the discussions in the area, to improve the teaching of Arts in the
State of Tocantins and to foster a critical look at the documents that guide the
Curriculum. |
