The objective of this research was to analyze how the 8th grade elementary school
teachers, from the Beija-Flor State School in Araguaína-TO, have been using the
new technologies in the development of their teaching practice. This study was
based on the following research problem: How have 8th grade primary school
teachers at Beija-Flor State College been related to new technologies in the
teaching-learning process? This research was developed from a literature review
focusing on authors who talk about the use of new technologies in teaching, some of
them: Peixoto et al (2009), Kenski (2003 and 2007), Papert (1994), Thoaldo (2010). )
and Nunes (2009). It was also developed an empirical research conducted in a state
college in the city of Araguaína-TO, which we call the fictitious name Beija-Flor State
College, for data collection we applied two questionnaires, one with students of the
8th grade of elementary school, and another with the teachers of the same class.
Based on the results obtained, it was found that although the importance of teachers
using the new information and communication technologies in the teaching-learning
process is discussed, there are several factors so that they have not achieved this
goal, because there is still a lack of training and In this area, as existing programs
have not yet been able to address these needs, there is a lack of adequate physical
structure and technological resources in schools, so long as these issues are not
resolved, it is impossible for them to use such tools. |
