This study sought to carry out an integrative review of the potential and challenges on the topic of Health in the school context, as well as to identify the main contributions of Physical Education and the Guide to Physical Activity for the Brazilian Population. A search was carried out on the subject in the SciELO and Google Scholar databases. Subsequently, a complete reading of the selected documents was carried out and the main contributions on the subject to the health of students were identified, as well as the role of School Physical Education. Five studies were integrated into this review. It is concluded that the Physical Activity Guide for the Brazilian Population and Physical Education classes is a promising strategy for health promotion in the school environment provided that the actors involved take ownership of the subject and know the needs of the school scenario related to Health Promotion. |
