This dissertation presents a study about the nouns in Xerente (Akwẽ Mrmẽze),
approaching a lexicographic proposal from a perspective of Xerente identity. Thus, its
general objective was to relate and analyze the nouns in Xerente (Akwẽ Mrmẽze), with
the purpose of contributing to indigenous school education, as didactic material for
teachers of akwẽ schools. The research problem aims to understand the contributions
that linguistic studies can add to the Akwẽ language, specifically regarding the use of
nouns, in addition to the investigation and documentation of the Xerente language and
its translation into Portuguese. Regarding the methodology, given the characteristics of
the research, we opted for a study that could contribute to indigenous school education,
and therefore, there is an ethnographic research and literature review, in which there
was a description of nouns. simple and compound, as well as its construction process,
based on authors such as Nimuendaju (1942), Guimarães (2002), Braggio (2015),
Sousa Filho (2007) and Albuquerque (2013). The results show examples in mother
tongue of specific situations of the akwẽ language: simple and compound names, as
well as sherent names according to clans (social division of the people). It can be said
that this dissertation contributes significantly to the formation of teacher akwẽ, from the
moment that it will be consultative material, due to the existence of a small number of
linguistic (and even less pedagogical) material about the grammar in the language of
that teacher people. |
