The present research address foundations Popular Education foundations and extension
project in Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) – Campus de Arraias. The objective was to
understand which the Popular Education foundations guiding extension project developed in
the UFT space: “Popular Education and Social Inclusion”. We sought to know the foundations
of Popular Education, identifying contributions of Popular Education to Young and Adult
Education and analyzing practices in the project “Popular Education and Social Inclusion”.
The study used qualitative methodology and the research-participant approach. The reference
bibliographic dialogue with Carlos Rodrigues Brandão (2022), Erasmo Baltazar Valadão;
Teresa Cristina Siqueira Cerqueira (2018), Jacques Rancière (2002), Magda Suely Pereira
Costa (2008), Marilena Chauí (2003), Moacir Gadotti (2009), Paulo Freire (2014), and other
authors. The research realized in the community of the municipality of Arraias – TO.
Participated students of the project “Popular Education and Social Inclusion”. The Popular
Education Freireana perspective as instrument in the transformation of society and breaking
of social injustices, before that the project “Popular Education and Social Inclusion” appears
as alternative proposal that escapes the walls of schools and the traditionalism present in these
formal education spaces, moving dialogic educational praxis and a democratic. |
