Resumo:
Purchasing management is responsible for the efficiency of a company's purchasing process. It defines a series of strategies. Raw material of low quality or that does not meet minimum requirements, excess or lack of stock and wasted budget. In this context, the study aimed to report the supermarket shopping strategies and processes in Muricilândia Tocantis. And as specific objectives, it sought to identify strategic purchasing tools and analyze purchasing management processes. The research was classified as a case study with a qualitative approach, applied nature and descriptive objectives. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview, in this way, it was possible to observe how the purchasing processes are carried out, where the goods and meat sold in the supermarket come from, what state the goods are purchased from, how the selection of suppliers is, if freight is CIF (cost, insurance and freight) or FOB (free on board), a differential in relation to other supermarkets and the competitive advantages used
