Resumo:
The present work sought to investigate the musical parodies in biology teaching present on the YouTube platform. To achieve this goal, we searched on the YouTube platform, through keywords, to locate several musical parodies. The keywords were: Biology musical parodies; musical parodies of biology in the classroom; musical parodies about biological sciences. In the results of this research, we identified the following topics covered: Origin of life, viruses, circulatory system and digestive system. The most discussed topic was the digestive system, containing 07 videos and 3,800 to 80,000 views. The most approached keyword was “musical biology parodies” containing 28 videos and 88,000 to 197,000 views. In terms of final considerations, we consider relevant a greater production of musical parodies performed in the classroom and that they are made available on the YouTube platform, as it is a powerful teaching-learning space to arouse the student's interest and the access to Biology content at school
