Resumo:
The present work sought to ascertain the inclusion quilombola students from the Community of Pé do Morro at the Getúlio Vargas State School. For this, a semistructured questionnaire was applied to the students and faculty and administrative staff, trying to understand how students are seen and treated in school. Ethnic racial issues, prejudices, commemorative dates, bibliography and the Political Pedagogical Project were discussed and pointed out in the answers. What was noticed was a certain distance between school and Quilombola Community. It is still evident that some students are prejudiced and that issues such as racism and equality are treated only on commemorative dates such as the Abolition of Slavery and Black Consciousness Day. Although it has books that promote the culture of African matrix in its collection, the school does little or does not work such theme. Some students still do not recognize themselves as Quilombolas, making themselves necessary to empower them as to their representativity of struggle and history loaded with their ancestors.
