Resumo:
The present work proposes to present the SIGWEB, which is a Geographic Information System present in a website of the World Wide Web. The preparation of this research has as its main proposal to demonstrate the potential of geotechnologies for teaching Geography in basic education, especially those that can be worked in classrooms through internet access and also through the systems that make up communication and technology technologies. information, such as ICTs or TDICs. During the writing of this monograph, an attempt is made to link these technological devices and the teaching of cartography, based on the elucidation of other authors who have researched or have researched on the topic, from the BNCC (Common National Curriculum Base) and other documents available. Teaching cartography is still a great challenge for Geography teachers in basic education, this occurs in various contexts, whether these are the lack of pedagogical resources for this, as well as the precariousness of resources used in schools and especially in public education, therefore, a platform called SIGWEB-LabGeo was developed during a research, this is intended to serve as a spatial database about the municipality of Araguaína-TO, the data can serve several purposes such as: proposing pedagogical dynamics, prepare teaching materials, propose interactive classes as well as prepare classes that develop the students' cartographic reasoning through exemplary studies using the maps present in the platform's database.
