The Supervised Curricular Internship in Veterinary Medicine was carried out in the southern region of the state of Maranhão, during the period between March 07, 2022 to May 16, 2022, totaling 390 hours under the supervision of Veterinarian Rodrigo Santos Fucuta and under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Marcio Gianordoli Teixeira Gomes.Throughout this period, the entire routine of the liberal professional was monitored, where it was possible to follow and participate in clinical and surgical care in large animals, such as dental care in horses, in addition to care in bovine reproduction. This report describes the location of the internship, the case series followed, the procedures performed, and describes a clinical case of equine dentistry, which, among the clinical follow-ups during the internship, is the most frequent and extremely important within the equine clinic for be a problem that triggers so many others within equine gastroenterology, in addition to significantly affecting the horse's sporting performance.
