The obligatory curricular internship was entirely made at the Veterinarian Hospital of the Veterinarian School and Zootechnics from Universidade Federal de Goiás (HV/EVZ/UFG), specifically in the anesthesiology area and veterinarian emergency. It was from August 15th to October 27th, 2022, with a total of 390 hours. This internship was under the supervision of the Ph.D. Leandro Guimarães Franco and with the guidance of Ph.D. Alberto Yin Junior. The following report has a description of the place, the internship routine, and the quantified summary of the activities made in the anesthesiology and emergency area of HV/UFG. During this internship, an anesthetic procedure of locoregional anesthesia was followed in a Boxer dog diagnosed with recurrent chronic otitis, having a procedure of ablation of the vertical ear conduct as a treatment. The technique of locoregional anesthesia consisted of the block of the auriculotemporal nerves and the biggest auricular with the local anesthesia called bupivacaína. The patient had a good response to the block, not being necessary analgesic supplementation either intraoperatively or in the immediate postoperatively stage. Thus, the following work is a report about the locoregional anesthesia employed in the dog that had the ablation of the vertical ear conduct associated with the literature review about the topic.
