This production model makes use of the principles of agroecology, enhancing the creation of culturally sensitive, socially fair and economically viable agroecosystems, through traditional and scientific knowledge. Our objective is to identify the possibility of using the SASP in small and medium-sized rural properties in the northern region of Tocantins, with the aim of diversifying animal production, in addition to adding different activities, such as agriculture, fruit trees, wood production and production of burlap. For this we made a bibliographical survey with researches that are close to our work. Thus, raising the data that the agrosilvipasstoril system can enable the conservation and recycling of soil nutrients, production diversity, in addition to providing the preservation of ecosystems, thus increasing biodiversity, thus contributing to the health of the environment. O sistema agrosilvipastoril (SASP) é a integração entre diferentes sistemas de produção, sendo as espécies agrícolas, florestais e animais, esses diferentes sistemas podem ser em cultivo consorciado, rotação ou sucessão, de forma em que os componentes integrados interajam entre eles, possibilitando maior diversidade de produtos e aumentando o uso da terra, de forma sustentável, constituindo uma prática agroflorestal planejada, resultando em benefícios das interações biológicas entre seus componentes. Esse modelo de produção faz uso dos princípios da agroecologia, potencializando a criação de agroecossistemas culturalmente sensíveis, socialmente justos e economicamente viáveis, através dos conhecimentos tradicionais e científicos. Temos por objetivo identificar a possibilidade de utilizar o SASP em pequenas e médias propriedades rurais na região norte do Tocantins, com o intuito de diversificar a produção animal, além de agregar atividades diversas, tais como agricultura, árvores frutíferas, produção de madeira e produção de serapilheira. Para isso fizemos um levantamento bibliográfico com pesquisas que tenham proximidade com o nosso trabalho.
