This research had as object of study inventorying the contributions of Institutional
Scholarship Program Introduction to Teaching - PIBID, particularly Subproject PIBID the
Degree in Mathematics, campus Araguaína the Federal University of Tocantins - UFT,
(Brazil). In specific terms, fostering the initial training of mathematics teachers was expressed
with the following question: What are the contributions the Subproject PIBID mathematics
promotes the initial training of teachers? The basic methodological research tool was given
from interviews with nineteen fellows of the Sub-project, supported by a semi-structured
script. From the testimonies of the interviews the categories of analysis and discussion of data
were established. As a result of the investigation, it is emphasized that the subproject has
contributed in a positive manner as regards the approach to school reality; professional
growth, personal and intellectual; theoretical reflections of scholars around the trends in
mathematics education; combating evasion in mathematics course; supervisors act as teachers
coformadores of fellows; development of teamwork; reflections between the stages of the
course and the Subproject math PIBID. |
