The present research arose within the scope of my practice as Pedagogical Coordinator of the
Municipal School Nova Muricilândia, through the performance of probing activities on
reading, writing and mathematical contents. Where the great deficiency in the teaching and
learning of Mathematics was verified. In this way we seek to verify the causes of this
problem, through observation of the teacher's practice, his work dynamics in the classroom
and also analyze the questionnaires and results of the diagnostic evaluation. This research
aimed to highlight the factors that contribute to the problem to occur; To reflect on how the
teaching and learning process of Mathematics happens in this school unit, as well as to
analyze and understand how the Manipulable Materials can contribute to the learning of
Mathematics in this School Unit. Due to the transformations and demands of today's society,
there is a need to build new learning contexts to achieve quality teaching and learning. In this
way we must find answers to the following questions: Why do the students of the Municipal
School Nova Muricilândia fail to assimilate in an effective way the basic contents of the
mathematicians? What are the best strategies to motivate the student in the classroom? Since
the initial grades, there has been a concern about working with children, so that separating the
family environment and school reality is not an obstacle to the child's adaptation, socialization
and understanding. However, associating something that is familiar, that is, objects, everyday
situations, with contents learned in school, favors a closer proximity of the student with the
contents and this will provide them with a meaningful learning, where allied to previous
knowledge Of the student will be the manipulable materials and games, important link
between the concrete and the abstract, thus making easier to understand the mathematical
contents worked. |
