Resumo:
The present work aims to understand how mathematical games can contribute to the learning of basic operations in the Set of Natural Numbers; And with specific objectives: To identify the main difficulties of students in the operations (Addition, Subtraction, multiplication and Division), through observation and regency of a pedagogical practice developed through monitoring carried out with activities of everyday situations involving arithmetic operations; Perform a sequence of different mathematical games in the classroom that can aid in the understanding of each operation. In this perspective, in the course of our study, we will also discuss the importance of constructing new methodological tools for teaching mathematics, pointing to the tendency to use games as an effective and challenging alternative for both teacher and student, seen Which is a resource that has presented good results, because it creates situations that allow the student to develop their own strategies, stimulating their creativity and participation. To develop our research we have selected the following games to aid in learning: addition domino, subtraction domino, multiplication domino, numerical lot division domino, and bingo of the four operations, so that students can learn mathematics through new methodological tools . The study deals with a qualitative approach because we are not concerned with counting quantities as results, but rather with understanding the behavior of a particular group, raising hypotheses and data analysis. Our type of research is the case study, in which for data collection it was perceptible to do a research that happened in a state public school in the city of Araguaína with 30 students of the 6th year of Elementary School II, with Aged from 11 to 13 years. The results with the Mathematical games showed us that it was a good teaching strategy, since it facilitated the understanding of the mathematical concepts, and also awakened in students self-confidence and motivation in learning mathematics.
