CNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA The present work aimed at the realization of a multidimensional study on the Pascal triangle at the level of Basic Education and the formulation of a didactic proposal derived from the methodological orientations of Mathematics Education, based on the data obtained through the theoretical research that was developed during the course of this academic production. Part of this exploration was devoted to bibliographical research where we have constituted, through sources of the History of Mathematics, a presentation of the history of the triangle of paschal. In addition to performing an epistemological examination, we undertake an analysis of the properties and some conceptual applications, in order to bring a correlation of the triangle of pascal with other contents of mathematics. The proposal resulting from this research intends to arouse interest in the students for what is being worked on. The results were expressed in terms of glimpsing possibilities of organization of teaching methods based on the productions of the field of Mathematics Education in order to produce meaningful learning. O presente trabalho objetivou a realização de um estudo multidimensional sobre o triângulo de pascal, a nível da Educação Básica e, a formulação de uma proposta didática advinda das orientações metodológicas da Educação Matemática, fundamentadas nos dados obtidos através da pesquisa teórica que foi desenvolvida no decorrer desta produção acadêmica. Parte desta exploração dedicou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica onde constituímos, por meio de fontes da História da Matemática, uma apresentação da história do triângulo de pascal. Além de realizarmos uma perscrutação epistemológica, empreendemos em uma análise das propriedades e de algumas aplicações conceituais, com intuito de trazermos uma correlação do triângulo de pascal com outros conteúdos da Matemática. A propositura resultante desta pesquisa, intenciona despertar o interesse nos alunos pelo que está sendo trabalhado.
