Resumo:
In this monograph, we will present an introduction to the Theory of Games and, among the various applications, we will highlight those pertinent to the economic environment. We’ll show how each player’s decision affects another’s decision. It is not a question of presenting a prescription for how to play, but rather of providing strategic tools and rational analysis mechanisms with the intention of maximizing its advantages in the corporate environment. With great advance brought about by World War II, and by the successful military strategic use, we will contextualize historically the theory, passing through its formal idealizers to the world recognition provided by John Forbes Nash Júnior, mathematician and winner of the Nobel prize of economy, by the generalization of the theory that took its name: Nash’s Theory of Balance. After the mathematical demonstration of this result, we will conclude the work explaining its proven use, as a decisive factor, in the judicial recovery of a large company.
