However, this tourism potential is often not properly recognized or strategically worked, especially regarding to smaller institutions located outside large urban centers. In this sense, this work presents reflections on the relationship between tourism and museums with the main objective of developing a matrix capable of identifying and evaluating the tourist potential of cultural institutions. visitor (number and origin) of the Historical and Cultural Museum of Arraias since its foundation; and identify and evaluate the tourist potential for cultural institutions; and identify whether or not the MHCA has tourism potential based on the evaluation matrix. To achieve these goals, the methodology adopted in this work is based on applied research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach to the problem, using exploratory and explanatory research to achieve the goals. As methodological procedures, bibliographic, documental, survey and case study research were used. From the achievement of the objectives, the results showed a great tourist potential of the Historical and Cultural Museum of Arraias, as well as the categories responsible for positively and negatively influencing this potential, which enables the substantiation of actions that can be applied for planning and structuring tourism development in the region in order to raise public policies aimed at culture and tourism. Os museus são instituições que estão cada vez mais presentes em roteiros turísticos e se tornando um importante atrativo do Turismo Cultural. Entretanto, muitas vezes esse potencial turístico não é devidamente reconhecido ou trabalhado de forma estratégica, especialmente no que diz respeito às instituições menores localizadas fora dos grandes centros urbanos. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho apresenta reflexões sobre a relação entre turismo e museus com objetivo principal de desenvolver uma matriz capaz de identificar e avaliar o potencial turístico de instituições culturais, sendo assim, o trabalho tem os objetivos específicos de levantar informações sobre o perfil do visitante (número e origem) do Museu Histórico e Cultural de Arraias desde a sua fundação; e identificar e avaliar o potencial turístico do MHCA a partir da matriz de avaliação. Para alcance de tais objetivos a metodologia adotada neste trabalho se fundamenta na pesquisa de natureza aplicada, com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa do problema, usando as pesquisas exploratória e explicativa. Já como procedimentos metodológicos utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, documental, de levantamento e estudo de caso. A partir da realização dos objetivos, os resultados apontaram uma grande potencialidade turística do Museu Histórico e Cultural de Arraias, assim como, as categorias responsáveis por influenciar positiva e negativamente esse potencial, o que possibilita a fundamentação de ações que podem ser aplicadas para o planejamento e estruturação do desenvolvimento turístico na região a fim de elevar as políticas públicas direcionadas a cultura e turismo. 2023-04-14T11:40:18Z 2023-04-14T11:40:18Z 2021-07-14 Monografia Nolasco, Laynne Pereira.
