Through research in the scientific literature and specific legislation, the work seeks to delimit the understanding concerning the theme by correlating this process to the aforementioned city, pointing out the problems observed both in human health and in the environment due to the arbitrary handling of organic solid waste: among mentioned are leachate, the emission of methane gas, the diseases that manifest themselves in situations linked to the proliferation of vectors such as rats, flies and others. It also addresses the exposition of laws that support and regulate the National Solid Waste Policy, as well as the inference to the Quintuple R of sustainability and BNCC in the educational system, correlating them with the proposals listed in the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals. In this way, it is intended to approach the investigation in the urban environment of the city of Arraias, working on the destination of organic solid waste originated in scale in the various segments of the Arraiana society. The contextualization also lists some suggestions for problems related to the disorderly accumulation of solid waste production, such as: the elaboration and implementation of a Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan, composting in households, and the implementation of a composting plant in the municipality or in an inter-municipal consortium and more: the work makes a contribution to the county, by preparing an illustrated educational booklet, producing an awareness and learning instrument about organic solid waste with the municipal school community. O presente trabalho monográfico apresenta uma revisão de literatura sobre os resíduos sólidos orgânicos urbanos, referenciando a compreensão dos processos que envolvem desde a geração, o descarte e processamento dos mesmos no Município de Arraias, Tocantins. Através da pesquisa na literatura científica e legislação específica, o trabalho procura delimitar a compreensão concernente ao tema correlacionando esse processo à cidade supracitada, apontando os problemas observados tanto na saúde humana quanto no meio ambiente, devido o manuseio arbitrário dos resíduos sólidos orgânicos: entre os citados estão o chorume, a emissão do gás metano, as doenças que se manifestam em situações ligadas à proliferação de vetores como ratos, moscas e outros. Aborda também a exposição de leis que amparam e regulamentam a Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos, como também a inferência aos 5R’s da sustentabilidade e BNCC no sistema educacional, correlacionando-as com as propostas elencadas da Agenda 2030 e os ODS - Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Dessa forma, pretende-se abordar a investigação no meio urbano da cidade de Arraias trabalhando a destinação dos resíduos sólidos orgânicos originados em escala nos variados segmentos da sociedade arraiana. A contextualização elenca também algumas sugestões para os problemas relativos ao acúmulo desordenado da produção de resíduos sólidos, tais como: a elaboração e implantação de um Plano Municipal de Gerenciamento de Resíduos Sólidos, a compostagem nos domicílios, e a implantação de usina de compostagem no município ou em consórcio intermunicipal e mais: o trabalho realiza uma contribuição ao município, ao elaborar uma cartilha educativa, ilustrada, produzindo instrumento de conscientização e aprendizado acerca dos resíduos sólidos orgânicos junto à comunidade escolar municipal. 2023-04-14T15:56:13Z 2023-04-14T15:56:13Z 2022-10-20 Monografia Santos, Gabrielle Moreira dos; Santos, Meiryvan Pereira Bezerra dos.
