We conclude that some of the characteristics of artisanal work remain, such as generational transmission; that the social profile of the workers is composed of individuals with low schooling who previously had other occupations including work experiences in the urban area of municipalities neighboring the community where the research was conducted. Objetivamos traçar o perfil dos produtores de farinha de mandioca em duas comunidades rurais situadas na região norte do estado do Tocantins e verificar sua inserção social a partir da produção da farinha. Utilizamos como referencial teórico o trabalho artesanal e a centralidade do trabalho a partir da questão salarial, particularmente aquela realizada por Robert Castel; e como metodologia a realização de entrevistas semi-estruturadas a trabalhadores e proprietários de fornos. Concluímos que algumas das características do trabalho artesanal permanecem, como a transmissão geracional; que o perfil social dos trabalhadores é composto por indivíduos com baixa escolarização e que anteriormente já tiveram outras ocupações profissionais incluindose aí experiências de trabalho na área urbana de municípios vizinhos à comunidade onde a pesquisa foi realizada. 2023-04-19T20:18:54Z 2023-04-19T20:18:54Z 2023-04-19 Monografia SOARES,Karina de Sousa.
