The present study aims to record part of the body culture collection of the city
of Tocantinópolis - TO, through traditional games identified with the residents of Rua do
Matadouro in the Beira Rio region. Therefore, field work was carried out, of an exploratory
nature and qualitative analysis. The production of information in the field took place through
semi-structured interviews with 47 community residents. The preferred places for playing
games, the materials and/or toys used, as well as the general organizational characteristics
were included in the initial script of the interviews. From the field records more than fifty
games were identified, with the most diverse peculiarities, among which, practices that are
part of cultures from different places in the country. In addition, fifteen other games were
noticed that presented in their organization and general outlines, traits of the local community.
