Playing is essential in children's lives. This research project aims to map the games
preferred by children enrolled in the 1st year of Elementary School in a municipal
school in a district of Palmas/TO. The 1st year is characterized by the change of
children from kindergarten to elementary school, aged between 5 and 6 years. The
project has the specific objectives of recording the games experienced by children in
a public school in a District of Palmas/TO, identifying the spaces preferred by children
to play, verifying the children's company during play and preparing an illustrated e-
book with the games of the ludic children's culture. The study has a qualitative,
ethnographic and descriptive nature of the researched community. For data collection,
conversation circles, individual semi-structured interviews with children authorized for
the research and observations of recess and free play provided by the researcher and
recorded in the logbook will be used. For data analysis, Content Analysis will be used,
which refers to a technique of investigation, classification, inference and interpretation
of the collected data. It is assumed that children prefer games with movement, that
children prefer group games, that children communicate during games, that digital
games appear among the children's favorite games and that children consider the time
available for pranks at school insufficient. |
