Resumo:
The present dissertation has the general objective of understanding and exposing about the dasĩpê festival and the motivation for this research is given by the fact that this researcher is an indigenous Akwẽ and a teacher in his community. It is a research with the methodology of oral and bibliographic research carried out with the elders, who know the traditional knowledge of their Akwẽ people. We interviewed several elders and an elderly woman from some different villages where we went so that we could record, film, take pictures of the elder in order to understand the dasĩpê and the aspects that remain, such as female nomination, male nomination, small log race, large log race carried by two people (Krãnkrã log race), speeches of the elders, speeches of the old women, body painting, the clans of the moieties and the four associations, as well as the changes that have occurred over the years, mainly in the traditional food and does not use technology. All traditional knowledge is passed on between the different generations on the days that the dasĩpê takes place. At night the young Akwẽ go to the Warã (or patio) to listen to the elders telling the stories, teaching the chants and songs. Through research, we put on paper what happens at the dasĩpê festival, so that one day the young Akwẽ and readers can read and remember or learn about dasĩpê.
