Resumo:
In this work it is discussed the Gavião People from the Indigenous Land Mãe Maria, that lives by the southeast region from Pará State, and their process of contact and appropriation of information and communication technologies. It is analyzed that contact and appropriation movement of the TIC’s (acronym for Information and communication technologies) from the indigenous community Akrôtikatêjê, comprised in the Gavião People, and the cultural and social consequences that comes with this process. The search used the ethnography method and one of its branches known as “netnography”, which made possible the deepening in terms of cultural, history and societies comprehension of the Gavião People from the Indigenous Land Mãe Maria and the historical process of technologies capture considering the respective indigenous reserve. Moreover, the research shows that the Gavião People, when appropriate the TIC’s, are performing by their way the “modernity indigenization” (Sahlins, 1999) process, in which they resignify the ways to relate with these technologies from their lifeways. This work concludes that the information and communication technologies are tools that has gradually contributing for the process of visibility, fight for rights and political emancipation of the Gavião People from the Indigenous Land Mãe Maria.
