The teaching of Physics in Brazil faces several challenges, among them, one that stands out is the low use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a teaching tool, even though its use is strongly recommended by the National
Common Curricular Base (BNCC ) and other documents that regulate and outline
the guidelines, objectives and goals for basic education in Brazil. It is in this perspective that the present research suggests a methodological intervention with the use of a podcast as a teaching tool, aided by the use of summaries as an element of content review to reduce the forgetting curve of students' learning.
The present research was carried out in a 9th grade class of elementary school
with 16 students in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic in a public elementary school in the city of Palmas-TO and is based on concepts of the Theory of Meaningful Learning (TAS), guided by the studies of Marco Antônio Moreira and David Ausubel's theory to teach Astronomy. Quantitative and qualitative questionnaires were used to analyze the students' prior knowledge and it was found that virtually all students were unaware of the topics addressed and that the methodological intervention produced potentially significant learning. |
