It is in this perspective that the present research suggests a methodological intervention with the use of a podcast as a teaching tool, aided by the use of summaries as an element of content review to reduce the forgetting curve of students' learning. The present research was carried out in a 9th grade class of elementary school with 16 students in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic in a public elementary school in the city of Palmas-TO and is based on concepts of the Theory of Meaningful Learning (TAS), guided by the studies of Marco Antônio Moreira and David Ausubel's theory to teach Astronomy. Quantitative and qualitative questionnaires were used to analyze the students' prior knowledge and it was found that virtually all students were unaware of the topics addressed and that the methodological intervention produced potentially significant learning. O ensino de Física no Brasil enfrenta diversos desafios, dentro eles, um que se destaca é a baixa utilização de Tecnologias da Informação e comunicação (TICs) como ferramenta de ensino, mesmo ela sendo a sua utilização fortemente recomendada pela Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) e por outros documentos que regulamentam e traçam as diretrizes, objetivos e metas para a educação básica no Brasil. É nessa perspectiva que a presente pesquisa traz uma sugestão de intervenção metodológica com a utilização de um podcast como ferramenta de ensino, auxiliada pela utilização de resumos como elemento de revisão de conteúdo para a redução da curva de esquecimento do aprendizado dos alunos. A presente pesquisa foi realizada em uma turma de 9° ano do ensino fundamental com 16 alunos no período ainda da pandemia da COVID-19 em uma escola pública de nível fundamental na cidade de Palmas-TO e se baseia em conceitos da Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa (TAS), norteando-se nos estudos de Marco Antônio Moreira e na teoria de David Ausubel para ensinar Astronomia.
