Understanding the need to discuss innovations related to adjustments and alternatives for conflict resolution, the present study aimed to analyze the activities of the Núcleo Especializado de Mediação e Conciliação (NUMECON), nucleus of the Defensoria Pública do Estado do Tocantins, specifically in the family area. This nucleus created in 2015 through mediation and conciliation provides faster resolution of conflicts and prevention of service decrease in several areas. In this sense, we sought to understand the reflexes of the innovations brought by Resolution nº 125/2010 of the Conselho Nacional de Justiça, Código de Processo Civil and the Law of Mediation Resolution that regulate mediation and conciliation as means of dealing with conflicts. In this study, access to justice through the use of these useful methods is considered as the training study, in addition to the study of the provisions of Brazilian legislation on the subject. A qualitative-quantitative methodology applied to the study was structured in the method of searching and analyzing statistical data from the Defensoria Pública do Estado do Tocantins regarding NUMECON and with the cut in family data. The subject discussed and developed in the sessions under analysis was taken into account, and the result was also observed in the socioeconomic profile of the people assisted. In order to justify the results found, a review and deepening of the concepts were carried out and used as legal provisions related to the theme. The results shown in this study made it possible to carry out a work by applying the conciliation and management of family conflicts. Study of identification of a cumulative attendance of relevant documents despite qualities not finalized in a comparative analysis that relevant unattended sessions. Thus, it is concluded that for NUMECON/DPE-TO services, mediation and family conciliation is an effective means of resolving conflicts, with a view to accelerating and committing those assisted in relation to the agreements made, thus promoting, by these means, adequate measures, social pacification and the reduction of the judicialization of conflicts.
