The supervised traineeship was developed at the Veterinary Hospital "Luiz Quintilian
de Oliveira" the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), campus of Araçatuba, São
Paulo, from May 11 to July 17, 2015 in Clinical Medical sector Small animals, totaling
391 hours and 40 minutes and the period from July 20 to August 28, 2015 in the area
of Obstetrics and animal reproduction totaling 268 hours and 45 minutes of activity.
During the traineeship period 174 cases were followed in clinical medicine and 56
clinical cases in animals breeding and obstetrics. Was allowed trainees help residents
in clinical care, make history, physical examination, aid in the biological material
collection for laboratory assessment, preparation of prescriptions and administer
medications in patients. This paper aims to describe the activities developed during
the stage and report two monitored clinical cases in the Medical Clinic obout Feline
Panleukopenia, diabetes mellitus with diabetic ketoacidosis and hepatic lipidosis and
another case in Reproduction and Obstetrics Animal about hyperplasia and vaginal
prolapse induced by estrogen.
