The disease has been compared to human interstitial cystitis due to the findings of cystoscopy are similar, so the cat has been considered the animal model for this disease in humans, such as edema of the bladder mucosa, and petechiae in the lamina propria (Westropp; TONY BUFFINGTON 2004; BUFFINGTON, 2011; Lemberger et al, 2011).. This report is described and discussed a case of FLUTD, covering discussions about the diagnosis. The clinical case was accompanied during supervised mandatory, held at the World Veterinary Clinic Animal Farm in Araguaina-TO, from October 19, 2015 through December 22th 2015. A Doença do Trato Urinário Inferior de Felinos (DTUIF) é uma doença bastante frequente em gatos domésticos. O diagnóstico é feito por exclusão de outras causas. Alguns animais podem apresentar recidivas. O quadro clínico do paciente pode ser caracterizado por hematúria, disúria, polaciúria, estrangúria, com ou sem obstrução uretral (OSBORNE et al.,1996). A doença tem sido comparada a cistite intersticial humana, devido aos achados da cistoscopia serem semelhantes, assim o gato tem sido considerado o modelo animal para esta doença em humanos, como edema da mucosa vesical, além de petéquias na lâmina própria (WESTROPP; TONY BUFFINGTON, 2004; BUFFINGTON, 2011; LEMBERGER et al., 2011). No presente relatório é descrito e discutido um caso clínico de DTUIF, abordando discussões sobre o diagnóstico.
