The main procedures are described, such as consultations, hospitalizations, surgical procedures and routine exams. It is considered an important of visceral leishmaniasis in the state of Tocantins, it is also a review of the literature on ways of transmitting the disease. During the stage it was possible to follow a case series of approximately 156 clinical cases, in which the highest number of visits and hospitalizations was observed in the canine species (n = 132).107 animals required hospitalization, 15 underwent a surgical procedure, and the largest number of surgeries was ovariosalpingohisterectomia and euthanasia was performed in 5 animals. The Supervised Curricular Stage made it possible to apply the theory in practice to all the knowledge acquired during the academic life, adding to this knowledge the owner / patient relationship. O presente trabalho relata as atividades do estágio curricular supervisionado obrigatório, que foi realizado na Clínica Espaço Animal, localizada na cidade de Palmas – TO, no período de 06 de Março de 2017 ao dia 19 de Maio de 2017, totalizando 416 horas. Estão descritos os principais procedimentos acompanhados como, consultas, internações, procedimentos cirúrgicos e exames de rotina. Considerando a importância da leishmaniose visceral no estado do Tocantins, realizou-se também uma revisão de literatura sobre as formas de transmissão, diagnóstico e tratamento da doença. Durante o estágio foi possível acompanhar uma casuística de aproximadamente 156 consultas clínicas, na qual o maior número de atendimentos e internações foi observada na espécie canina (n=132). 107 animais necessitaram de internação, 15 passaram por procedimento cirúrgico, sendo que o maior número de cirurgia foi de ovariosalpingohisterectomia e em 5 animais foi realizada a eutanásia.
