Bearing in mind the importance of using games as a methodology that facilitates the teaching
and learning process, this work aims to analyze the methodological and social role of games in
the teaching and learning process of mathematics in the early years of Elementary School,
seeking to demonstrate the pedagogical value, its influence and its effectiveness as a mediating
strategy of knowledge. Therefore, games become essential to promote more meaningful
Mathematics classes, as they stimulate motivation, reasoning, socialization and, above all,
delight students and teachers. The methodology used was based on bibliographical research,
with four mathematical games being proposed to be used in the early years of Elementary
School. In the literature review, it was found that games can represent a lighter way for students
to understand the use of rules not only in the logistics of the game itself, but also in the process
of teaching and learning mathematics, proving to be a fundamental resource. in the
appropriation of different contents and going beyond the extensive and exhausting lists of
exercises so commonly used by more traditional teachers. |
