Resumo:
This dissertation aims to develop a reflection on the covid-19 pandemic and the amplification of socio-educational inequalities. The aim is to understand the effects of the pandemic on the education and learning of children and adolescents through emergency remote teaching. To do so, it is necessary to understand the emergence of covid-19 and its impacts on Brazilian education as it spread throughout the state of Tocantins and the city of Palmas, as well as analyze socio-educational inequality at the geographic level, with its characteristics and specificities. The bibliographic research was carried out in the databases of Google Scholar, Scielo, Public Domain Portal, extending to the UFT Repository, precisely in the Digital Library of Monographs (BDM), as well as in the PROPESQ/UFT Periodicals Portal. This research aims to contribute to the geographic, educational, social and political aspects that involve education before the pandemic and after the return to in-person classrooms, seeking to measure school performance and socio-educational inequality.
