The objective of this work was to analyze the publications on the topic “Evaluation” in Revista
Movimento (scientific journal in the area of Physical Education), understanding which themes
have had more visibility in recent years and authors who stand out in this area. The method
used was document criticism, our sources are the works published in the magazine Movimento
from 2002 to 2022 and the technique of organizing the sources was bibliometrics. We showed
that after analyzing the periodicity of publications on the subject, we can divide them into two
cycles, the first between the years 2002 to 2012, a period of ten years with only 5 publications,
this total being less than half of the subsequent cycle. And the second cycle with 12 publications
in a nine-year interval. It is notable that at the end of the first cycle there was an increase in
production on Evaluation, and a constancy in publications. The data show that the magazine
has given greater visibility to studies on Assessment in basic education, initial teacher training
and in the health area, these being the areas with the highest number of works published in the
magazine. We also highlight the need to continue the investigation by expanding the number
of journals, especially considering the number of journals in the area of education and physical
education that are the target of researchers in the area to give vent to their studies |
