The general objective of this study was to understand the relationship between
physical activity and aggressive behaviors of young students during Physical Education classes
at a state school in the city of Tocantinópolis. Bibliographical and field research was carried
out, of a qualitative and quantitative nature, with exploratory-descriptive objectives. The field
research was limited to a school in Tocantinópolis, composed of approximately 510 students,
whose main offering is Elementary School II. Information collection took place during the
Supervised Curricular Internship III in the first semester of 2023. During the internship
activities (observations, dialogues and conducting) 10 (ten) interns, including the researcher,
observed physical and verbal aggressive/violent behaviors, among students, during competitive
body practices. The trainees only noticed violent behavior after talking with the researcher
about what aggressive/violent behavior is, which signals the normalization of such acts during
Physical Education classes at the investigated school.
