During the Portuguese Language course at the Federal University of North Tocantins, in some disciplines, such as Didactics and ICTs, interest arose in researching the difficulties encountered in the use of technological methods in the teaching-learning process. With the advent of the COVID 19 pandemic, which started in 2020, we experienced the emergency remote teaching, which presented considerable challenges to students and professors, through the new social and educational contour, triggered by the pandemic. As this, the central question of our research consisted of Remote teaching, during the covid 19 pandemic, nterfered in the quality of the teaching-learning process of the UFNT Literature students. Therefore, the main objective of this study sought to analyze the main challenges of the teaching-learning process, during the remote classes, with the use of technologies. The methodology used was predominantly qualitative, with the objective of analyzing, in a critical and reflexive way, the realization of the teaching-learning process, in the Portuguese language course at UFNT, during remote classes. In this regard, authors such as Kenski (1996) and Moran (1995), Rondine; Garcia (2020), Lima (2020), Pimenta e Lima (2006), contributed significantly to our analyses. Based on research and studies executed, we found that the use of technology linked to teaching, became fundamental to the development of the students' teaching-learning process in the Portuguese Language Course at the University, but that it encountered many barriers such as little experience with the use of technological resources in the process of learning, difficulty accessing technology and the internet due to financial conditions, as well as the challenges of keeping the dynamics of the classes stimulated, as like the teaching methodology itself, used at certain times.
