Resumo:
This Undergraduate Thesis aimed at developing an educational proposal focused on promoting the structuring and construction of mathematical and computational thinking through the creation of digital applications using MIT App Inventor. Faced with students' unsatisfactory performance in mathematics and their increasing immersion in digital technologies, this study proposed the use of these technologies as tools to engage and motivate students, developing essential skills for the 21st century. A qualitative, theoretical approach was adopted, as there was no availability of time for a field study. The study elaborated a methodological map with a focus on Digital Culture and Productive Learning, aiming at the creation of digital applications that facilitate the understanding and application of mathematical and computational thinking. The thesis concludes that the integration of mathematical and computational thinking, with the assistance of App Inventor, can significantly contribute to the development of students' digital skills, preparing them for the challenges of contemporary digital and technological society. This innovative approach reinforces the importance of digital and computational literacy in the school curriculum and points towards a promising path in revitalizing mathematics education through technology, innovation, and pedagogical practice.
