Resumo:
The objective of the work was to describe the challenges and experiences experienced in the initial years of elementary school in the Physical Education Degree Course with a focus on the school routine and activities developed by children in a municipal school in the North of Tocantins. This is a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, an experience report carried out with students in the initial years of elementary school and the participation of two classes, one in the morning shift and the other in the afternoon shift. Playful activities were developed with emphasis on body culture of movement and emphasis on gymnastics in Physical Education classes through observation, planning and execution stages with demonstration of the development of equipment as educational teaching resources that the school did not have to support practical classes. Gymnastics content can be inserted and taught in the classroom, also allowing reflection on the benefits of the this theme and the teaching resources produced. However, the difficulties encountered due to the lack of materials to compose the theme and how to overcome these problems were noticeable. Students in the early years of elementary school experienced the cultural diversity of movements, which is characterized as a formative, transformative and challenging resource, promoting reflection in the execution of these practices in the training of students on the Degree in Physical Education in the face of the reality of the profession. Therefore, it is inferred that it is completely viable to try different types of gymnastics and that more schools and teachers can experience this practice, highlighting how innovative it is for the practice of body culture from the early years of elementary school onwards.
