Resumo:
The present research seeks to understand how indigenous ethnomedia contribute to the construction of counter-narratives in digital networks. Ethnomedia is understood as a tool adopted by different ethnic groups (Indigenous, Quilombolas, Caiçaras, Roma, among others) that seek to represent themselves through media convergence. In this sense, the object of study will be Rádio Yandê – the first web radio made and produced exclusively by indigenous people, and Mídia India – one of the largest communication networks produced by indigenous youth. The analyzes were carried out from the social networks of both groups, specifically Facebook and Instagram, since they are still the social networks with the highest number of users in the world. In turn, the method of netnography was adopted, as the performance of indigenous communicators on the internet was investigated, as well as the construction of discourses about their cultures and ethnicity. Authors such as Carneiro (2020), Bastos and Nascimento (2020) and Neves (2013) were mainly responsible for the theoretical basis. In the results, it was observed that the insertion of indigenous people in digital networks has contributed to the construction of counter-narratives produced by indigenous peoples, since themes are discussed that for the most part do not have the same visibility in traditional media.
