In this way, firstly, the concepts of the Field are contextualized in their known, historical and legal aspects. Next, a mapping of the real reasons for the closing of schools that were received in the municipality of Conceição (TO) is presented, due to the closing of schools with regard to the teaching-learning process in the region. As a methodology, a field study was carried out, with a descriptive character and a quantitative approach, through field survey and as a method of primary data collection: observation and interview; and secondary data obtained through the analysis of documents cited in other studies and authors that were still related to the topic, such as Caldart (2012) and Molina (2011). This data processing was performed from the interpretation, and inferences. Finally, the results revealed by the municipality of the schools do not show the denial of the right to education in the environment in which they live. So, the educational rights conquered end up being violated by the public in the process of mobilization and organization of rural communities. Thus, it is expected that this work will contribute to future readers, bring a new vision in the face of the scenario of closing rural schools. It is clear to think about quality that favors the stay of these subjects in the countryside and, in this way, an education. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo: analisar as intencionalidades politicas presentes no fechamento das 21 (vinte e uma) escolas rurais do município de Conceição do Tocantins (TO). Deste modo, inicialmente contextualiza-se os conceitos de Educação do Campo em seus aspectos conceituais, históricos e legais. Em seguida, traz-se um leve mapeamento dos reais motivos do fechamento das escolas que foram chegadas no município de Conceição do Tocantins (TO), analisando os principais impactos causados pelo fechamento das escolas no que diz respeito ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos alunos da região. Como metodologia, foi realizado um estudo de campo, com caráter descritivo e abordagem quanti-qualitativa, por meio de levantamento de campo e como método de coleta de dados primários: observação e entrevista; e dados secundários obtidos por meio da análise de documentos citados em outras pesquisas e autores que estivessem relacionado ao tema, como Caldart (2012) e Molina (2011). Este processamento dos dados foi realizado a partir da interpretação, reflexões e inferências. Por fim, os resultados revelam que o fechamento das escolas rurais no devido município evidencia a negação do direito à educação no ambiente em que vivem. Então, os direitos educacionais conquistados acabam sendo violados pelo poder público no processo de mobilização e organização das comunidades rurais. Assim, espera-se que este trabalho contribua para os futuros leitores, diante do senso crítico, trazer uma nova visão quanto ao cenário do fechamento de escolas rurais.
