Playing is important at all stages of life, but it is even more essential in childhood. In this sense, this article aims to understand how play can help in children's relationships and interactions in early childhood education, contributing to their development and learning. Through bibliographic research, we sought to understand the importance of play in children's cognitive development, and studies show that children acquire attitudes and skills through playing and games, and from this they begin to have another position when faced with challenges, whether arising from a playful nature (game situation) or from a school nature (learning), and these can stimulate knowledge and the desire to learn in each child. Thus, with this work we seek to answer the question: can playfulness, such as games, toys and play, be used to promote child development and assist in the relationship between children's teaching and learning?. In this path of effective practices in the teaching-learning process using playfulness, through the analyses carried out in this study, it is possible to deduce that through a diversified methodology in relation to playfulness, the child's learning and development processes will be increasingly improved and more effective for the construction of new knowledge. Through the analyses presented throughout the research, it is possible to affirm that play acts as a tool to assist early childhood education teachers and is of utmost importance for the child's development since games and play awaken integral and healthy growth in the child. A prática lúdica é a referência da criança, sendo submetida a esta prática desde os seus primeiros anos de vida. O brincar tem sua importância em todas as fases da vida, mas na infância é ainda mais essencial. Neste sentido este artigo tem por objetivo compreender como o lúdico pode auxiliar nas relações e interações das crianças na educação infantil, contribuindo para o seu desenvolvimento e aprendizagem. Por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, buscou-se compreender a importância do lúdico na formação cognitiva das crianças, e os estudos mostram que as crianças adquirem atitudes e competências com brincar e com o jogo, e a partir disto elas passam a ter outro posicionamento diante de desafios, sejam advindos da natureza lúdica (situação de jogo), sejam de natureza escolar (aprendizagem) e estes podem estimular o conhecimento e o querer aprender de cada criança. Dessa forma, buscamos com este trabalho responder ao questionamento: o lúdico como os jogos, brinquedos e brincadeiras podem ser utilizados visando o desenvolvimento da criança e o auxílio na relação entra o ensinar/aprender das crianças? Nesse percurso de práticas efetivas no processo ensino aprendizagem utilizando-se da ludicidade, mediante as análises realizadas nesse estudo, é possível deduzir que por meio de uma metodologia diversificada no que se refere à ludicidade, os processos de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento da criança serão cada vez mais aprimorados e mais eficazes para a construção de novos conhecimentos.
