The present study addresses the question of dancing in public schools in the city of
Macapa. The aim was to understand the phenomenon of dance culture as an
element of movement and as the content of physical education in public schools in
the city of Macapa. This research takes a quantitative and qualitative instruments and
adopted as the data collection questionnaires and semi-structured, aimed at students
and teachers from public elementary and high school in the city of Macapa. We tried
to map the existence of dance in schools where it is absent we sought to find
reasons why it occurs, and describe how this content is working in institutions where
it is present.The field research was composed of six institutions, ten teachers and
twelve students, with age between twelve and fourth four years old, working and
acting in public schools. In the final analysis of data collected it was found the real
situation of dance content in the public schools of the city of Macapa, its insertion, its
absence and the vision of students and teachers about the theme, demonstrating the
students' interest in new content and the content of dance and the disinterest of
teachers entering the same in their regular classes. |
